现在开始逐一解释光盘刻录基本名词。 1. CD光盘的格式 目前常见的CD光盘格式大致可以分为以下三种： （1）音乐CD:CD-Digital Audio,即CD-DA。 （2）数据CD：即CD-ROM。 （3）扩展类CD：CD-ROM Extended Architecture，即CD-ROM XA (扩展类CD光盘)，代表有Video CD等。 这三种格式的主要区别在于每扇区的字节数，CD-DA为2352字节/扇区、数据CD为2048字节/扇区、扩展类CD为2336字节/扇区。正因如此，这三种格式光盘的数据容量存在明显的区别（以标准的74分钟光盘计算）： 音乐CD的容量为：74×60×75×2352÷1024÷1024=746.93（MB） 数据CD的容量为：74×60×75×2048÷1024÷1024=650.39(MB) 扩展类CD的容量为：74×60×75×2336÷1024÷1024=741.85(MB) 7. CD光盘的类型 CD光盘的类型目前分为5种： （1）音乐CD (Audio CD)。 （2）普通CD-ROM (Normal CD-ROM)。 （3）混合模式CD(Mixed-Mode CD)。 （4）特殊模式CD(CD Extra Mode)。 （5）多区段CD-ROM(MultiSession CD-ROM)。 8. Audio CD音乐光盘 所谓音乐光盘，就是指光盘中包含了音轨的数据，同时数据是符合CD-DA(Compact Disc-Digital)的格式。音乐光盘能储存74分钟的音乐，音轨最大可达99轨。不仅可以在多媒体电脑上播放，也能在家用或汽车音响上播放。 制作音乐光盘（Audio CD）有以下二种方式： （1）由现成的音乐光盘片来对拷刻录。 （2）使用抓音轨储存于硬盘内的Wav文件来刻录或音轨与Wav文件合并刻录。 9.CD-ROM (Compact Disc Only Memory，数据光盘） CD-ROM就是我们日常可以见到的光盘，CD-ROM是刻录数据光盘的标准格式，被用于储存电脑数据文件。数据写入的方式是CD在高速转动之下，激光头破坏光盘表面有机染料，将数据写入，每笔数据都必须包含起始与结尾的数据。 刻录数据光盘CD-ROM有以下二种方式： （1）拖曳所要刻录的数据进行刻录 （2）建立ISO镜像文件来进行刻录 10.CD-DA (Compact Disc-Digital Audio，数字音频光盘) 主要使用于音乐CD上，针对类比音乐转圜成数位性数据的格式，为储存音乐数据的光盘标准。CD-DA格式的光盘片，每个磁区（Sector）主频道含有2352KB的可用空间，可写入刻录音频数据。此种数据，是以频率44.1KHZ来取样（表示每秒共取样44100单位）每个取样后的单位数据是以16bit数位方式储放。 11. Oversize (超长刻录) 目前有许多CD专辑的播放时间常常超过74分钟，而一般的CD-RW可擦写刻录机只支持74分钟的音乐和650MB的数据刻录。最新的CD-RW可擦写刻录机已具有超长刻录（Oversize）功能，使用支持超长刻录的刻录软件和普通的CD-R光盘，就可以刻录80分钟的音乐CD或700MB的CD-ROM数据盘。目前国内市场上的Ricoh MP7040A和YAMAHA CRW4416 CD-RW等均支持超长刻录，德国Ahead公司的Nero Burning Rom刻录软件也支持这一功能。 15. 光盘的文件系统 光盘文件系统的作用与我们所熟悉的FAT16,FAT32等硬盘文件系统的作用基本上是一样的，目前最常见的3种光盘文件系统是： （1）ISO-9660 (2) Joliet (3) Romeo 16. ISO9660 由国际标准化组织于1985年颁布，是目前唯一通用的光盘文件系统，任何类型的计算机以及所有的刻录软件都提供对它的支持，为CD-ROM(Mode1、Mode2)的文件系统标准。因此，如果想让刻录好的光盘能被所有的CD-ROM光驱都顺利读取的话，那就最好使用ISO-9660或与其兼容的文件系统；其他的文件系统只能在CD-R或CD-RW上读取，限制了光盘的通用性。ISO-9660目前有Level 1和Level 2两个标准。Level 1与DOS兼容，文件名采用传统的8+3格式，而且所有字符只能是26个大写英文字母、10个阿拉伯数字及下划线。Level 2则在Level 1的基础上加以改进，允许使用长文件名，但不支持DOS。是为了让DOS,Windows等操作系统能够观看及使用光盘上的文件而所制定的一套国际标准。 内有三层通透性： 第一层支持大多数的操作系统。 第一层要每一个文件的数据必须是连续不中断的方式存放于CD上，每个文件内容不可分开存放或其它文件交错，文件名称必须符合英文A-Z、数字0-9和底线“-”所组成的字符。而且格式必须依照DOS的规定：8个字符的主文件名与3个字符的副文件名。 第二层则是可采用任何的字符做为文件名。包括使用超过8+3个字符的长文件名，但是文件的文件亦不可中断、交错或是分开存放。 第三层是不受任何限制。 在这三层的规定中，ISO9660文件系统规定均不可使用过8层的目录结构。 17. Joliet Joliet是微软公司自行定义的光盘文件系统，Joliet 命名方式是ISO9660标准命名方式的延伸，它支持Windows 9x/NT 和 DOS，在Windows 9x/NT下文件名可显示64个字符，可以使用中文。 在Microsoft 已开发的Windows 96环境中，系统允许使用者在CD的刻录过程中使用长文件名的命名方式，当然它也能使用单一的国际代码字符设定。在CD的文件刻录方面，Joliet 允许使用者将文件名称增加到64个字符，当然这包括空格在内。Joliet命名方式避免了使用者不会因为使用了DOS的系统或Windows更早期的版本而无法正常读取刻录好的数据光盘。该格式支持DOS (8+3)、Windows 95(最多可以达到64个字符)与Unicode字符集。此格式只能为Windows 95或Windows NT 4.0以上之版本才能读取，若使用DOS则长文件名会看不见。Windows 96允许使用者在为文件及文件夹命名时可设定至256个字符的长度名称，其中包含空格。 每个DOS的标准命名方式是：8个字符的主文件名与3个字符的副文件名。为了维持DOS操作系统的相容性，在Windows 95操作系统中这种命名模式就自动被建立起来了，而且在“我的电脑”中也让使用者正常的浏览它们。在制造DOS操作系统的相容文件名时，长文件名将会被删减其字符长度并以“≈”来代替它，这或许会造成两个不同文件或目录在命名时，经过系统删减部分字符后产生数字的文件名。 18. Romeo 著名的Adaptec公司自行定义的文件系统名称的格式，支持Windows 9x/NT,该格式只支持Windows 95格式的长文件名（最多可以高达128个字符）。此格式只能在Windows 95及Windows NT 4.0以上之版本的PC或MAC机上读取。若文件名称字符超过31个字符，那使用DOS及Windows 3.1版本是无法读取光盘数据的。 19.UDF 这是一个文件系统的名称，也是一个相当重要的光盘新规格。与ISO9660或是Joliet文件格式比较起来，UDF除了适合CD-R上，更可以使用在CD-RW与DVD上。它采取了Packet Writing的写法，以64KB传送数据到CD-R,因此不会发生类似Buffer Under Run的情形，并且可以与ISO9660完全相容。另外对于CD-R上数据的更改、删除、修正、增加等动作都有规范。 也就是说UDF是在CD中提供了类似硬盘随时读写的特性。在CD-R上删除数据并不是真正的删除数据，而是做个标记使你看不见。如果是使用CD-RW，就可以把CD-RW光盘当成650兆的软盘来使用。 20. 光盘的刻录方式 制作不同类型的光盘时采用的刻录方式也不尽相同，目前较常用的刻录方式有以下几种： （1）Disc At Once(DAO,整盘刻录) （2）Track At Once(TAO,轨道刻录) （3）Session At Once(SAO,区段刻录) （4）On The Fly (OTF,飞速刻录) （5）Incremental Packet Writing (IPW，增量包刻录) 21.
